            <description><![CDATA[The 5th ESRI Eastern Africa User Conference returns to Kenya after last year’s event in Addis Ababa and will be held from 13 – 15 October 2010 at the Safari Park Hotel in Nairobi. The User Conference which brings together ESRI software users from across Eastern Africa to share their experiences and learn more about ESRI’s technology has now been extended to a 3-day event.<br />

I made  three images and uploaded to the 'temporary' gallery on this site, showing Zanzibar and the Luangwa Valley in addition to the Arusha example shown in the article opened by pressing "Read more".<br />

            <description><![CDATA[Today I found myself struggling at work. I had to calculate the area of a suggested protected area - land area only. This was in Norway. We have a couple of floating Spatial Analyst licenses at work. Looking for the right tool in ArcGIS toolbox is no fun. If you are not running a cracked version you are often exposed to your inferior license. QGIS saved the day!<br />

            <title>Hillshades TIFF</title>
